Structured data (schema)

Structured data, often called schema, is code on a web page that labels facts (business name, services, hours, prices, reviews) in a format search engines and AI tools read directly.

In short

Think of it as subtitles for machines. People read the page; crawlers read the labels and stop guessing.

An example

A plumber’s page marks up its service area as “Fairfield, Ohio” and its opening hours, so Google and AI tools can quote both correctly.
